Water Baptism
If you have not been baptized in
water since you began to follow the Lord, follow the command of the Lord and be
baptized in water as a public proclamation of your faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ. This important ordinance is a great step in identifying with Jesus
publically, that you are following Him.
This is for people who have made
Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior and want to follow the instruction of Jesus
to be baptized. Water baptism takes place four times a year and is
conducted by one the MLFC pastors. You will receive Biblical instruction and the significance of this event in your life.

Q: Do
I need to be baptized in order to be a Christian or go to heaven?
A: No. Baptism
does not make you saved; it is a step that takes place after you get saved. It
is an outward sign of an internal work
Q: Why
be baptized?
A: It signifies
that you have died to your sins, been buried with Christ and have risen with
Him in newness of life. It is done in front of others to also "go
public" with your faith in Jesus
Q: Do
I need to be a member of MLFC to be baptized?
A: No,
just a believer in Jesus Christ
Q: Do
I need to be baptized at MLFC to be a member or a part of the church?
A: Absolutely
not. If you have already been baptized in another church after you became a
believer in Jesus, there is no need to be baptized again
Q: What
if I was baptized as a baby?
A: If your
parents did this for you as a baby, we honor their decision, but it was not
yours. We do not see infant baptism practiced in the New Testament. What we do
find are believers who after they have received Jesus Christ, presenting
themselves for baptism. This is why we do not baptize babies, but dedicate them
to the Lord. If you were baptized as a baby and have not yet been baptized
since your received Jesus, we urge you to be baptized as a believer

will happen on that day?
A: Your baptism
application will give you more instruction, but you will hear from God’s word
regarding baptism for about 30 minutes and join others who will be baptized by
immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is a wonderful
experience that you will want to invite your family and friends to so that they
can see you taking this wonderful step in your faith
