Marriage Licence
A marriage license – Form
C should be applied for from the Registrar of Oaths at the Civic Center six
weeks before the proposed wedding date. The fee for this is currently Four
Hundred Thousand Kwacha (K 400,000). A penalty is charged should you submit
a late application. That fee is currently Six Hundred Thousand Kwacha (K 600,000). Both the Bride and Groom are to be present when this application is
made.
This form, when ready
should be submitted to the office two (2) weeks before the wedding date. A
penalty of Ten Thousand Kwacha (K 10,000) will be charged should the license be submitted to the
church office later than the deadline stated above.
