About Campaign
Miracle Life Family Church now stands at the threshold of a new and exciting era of development which will see a substantial growth in numbers as more people are added to the family of God. Miracle Life exists for the express purpose of “Connecting People to the Love of God”. Because people matter to us, our activities are geared towards reaching out to our community, the un-churched and unsaved people and ensuring that they are grounded in the fundamental principles of the word of God. Our mission is to see our society changed by transformed lives and the development of effective leaders who make an impact in the community. We see our city of Lusaka, the nation of Zambia and the surrounding countries impacted with the reality of God’s love.
As a result of the church pursuing its mission, the congregation of Miracle Life has grown substantially over the years. The growth of the church has partly been driven by new converts who find salvation and a relationship with God through the ministry of Miracle Life. Since holding its first service, attendance has grown from 17 people in 1998 to the current number of over 3000 on a Sunday morning. The number of services held on Sunday has increased from one in 1998 to two services in 2003 to three services in 2005 and finally four in 2008. The church has exceeded its capacity in the current facilities and some ministries such as the children’s church are now meeting in the tent outside, while the covenant kids are ministered to in the tent as well.
We believe God will continue to add to our numbers as more and more people will get saved through the ministry of Miracle Life. Therefore, remaining in the current premises will stifle the mandate that God has given us. There is an urgent need for Miracle Life to develop new premises to reach more people. We firmly believe that this challenge not only presents us with an opportunity to build a new building but also an opportunity to increase our faith in God through our giving as we trust Him to guide us through to the next level. In August 2006, Miracle Life reached a milestone in its walk with God through the purchase of 20 acres of land on Zambezi Road, Lusaka Zambia.
The second stage of the project involved the construction of the actual facility. It is envisioned that the new facility will meet the needs of the families that attend church and the wider community. It will also provide a suitable platform for the various outreach ministries to the Covenant Kids, orphans and the lost in our community. It will become a place where people who require our assistance can be ministered to and loved.
Overall, the new ministry centre will become more than just a place for formal church services but will become a conduit for Miracle Life to touch various people’s lives. To achieve the vision, Miracle Life needed to raise US$ 2.5 million to finance the actual construction of the building. Each family of the church was asked to make a commitment for a period of 24 months to the Building Campaign. This was over and above out regular tithe and offerings. The vision is big but our God is bigger and nothing is impossible with Him. We will accomplish the mission as everyone plays their part.
Nehemiah chapter 3 provides us with an excellent example of how the people of Jerusalem rallied together around a common vision to rebuild the city wall. Each played their part. No part is too great or too small. Building in themselves do not change lives but the people in them do. We are therefore excited about what God is about to do through Miracle Life Family Church and we encourage the congregation to take part in fulfilling the vision. Because people matter, let us build tomorrow today.
