About Campaign
 | Our vision for this campaign Miracle Life Family Church Mission and Vision Miracle Life exists for the express purpose of “Connecting People with the Love of God”. Because People Matter to us , all our activities are geared towards reaching out to our community, the unchurched and unsaved people and ensure that they are grounded in the fundamental principles of the word of God. Our mission is to see our society changed by transformed lives and the development of e ective leaders who make an impact in the local community. We see our city of Lusaka, the nation of Zambia and surrounding countries, impacted with the reality of God’s love. What is the “Stepping Towards our Destiny” Campaign? Our goal is to raise $1.5 million within a period of 12 months. Of that amount, the first $1 million will be used to pay down the mortgage. US $100,000/- will be used to source seating for our auditorium and $ 400,000/- will enable us to construct our parking area. Our first campaign, Because People Matter enabled us to raise US $2 million for the building and by God’s grace we were able to move into our new premises on May 16, 2010. Due to exchange rate losses and rise in construction costs we also incurred a debt of US $2 million with our bankers. This financial burden is making expansion of ministries and adding new ones challenging with the pressure of interest on our budget. Our energies are diverted into reducing this debt through cost cutting measures as opposed to fulfilling our mission. This campaign will free up funds for ministry purposes. Mortgage Reduction Objective US $1 million As per our plan and design for the new auditorium, we have not yet been able to provide adequate seating for our people. When we plan outreach events like our Easter Drama we had to turn away people because of our inability to host them. This restricts our ability to reach out to our community and spread the gospel. Through our new seating arrangement we will enhance our capacity and reach out to more people. Seating Updates US $100,000 Our parking area has not been refurbished and equipped to enable our members and visitors to park at ease on our premises every Sunday. This creates long queues and waiting periods for people in between services. We also require the services of many faithful members who weather the sun, wind and dust on a Sunday morning to help bring order and manage the cars coming in and driving out. Constructing and refurbishing our car park will enable us to provide care and excellent service to our members and visitors. Because People Matter to God we want to be able to serve them with excellence. Projected Cost US $400,000 Total 12 month Campaign Initiative - US $1,500,000 Raising US $1.5 million will help us reduce our financial liabilities by half and to a level that Miracle Life Family Church can manage considering our current level of offerings and tithes. This will enable us to focus our energy onto the real work of the church, including ministries and programs, adding new staff to lead and direct ministries, helping to see Christ formed in our members and impacting our community. We will be free to pursue more of God’s work in the world. Our opportunity The goal and purpose of our lives is to fulfill our God given destiny, touching the lives of others and bringing glory to God. This fund raising campaign is an opportunity for the church community to strengthen and to empower life-changing ministries. It is a shared celebration of God’s grace and providence in our lives. We firmly believe that this challenge provides another opportunity for us to exercise our faith in God through our giving. We are naturally conscious of lack, but Jesus isn’t. Even in the midst of lack, He is always conscious of abundance. Remember the little boy’s five loaves and two fish? What did Jesus do when these were placed in His hands? Jesus said that “the kingdom of God is within you”. This means that the kingdom of God is within us and it is where the abundance of resources is found. So we invite you to trust God and see Him do remarkable things with the resources He has placed within you. Every Sunday, Miracle Life Family Church ministers to over 2500 people through its Sunday morning services. We see an increasing number of young families and youth who are attracted to Miracle Life Family Church and are growing spiritually in their daily walk. We have the opportunity to help set the course of the church into the future and to strengthen our mission and ministry. This campaign is a faith-sharing, spiritual journey, not a mere fund raising e ffort. How can we participate in this campaign? The success of this campaign as with our first one depends on faith driven commitments – prayerful, thoughtful and even sacrificial giving which deepens our faith. Each family of the church will be asked to prayerfully make a commitment on October 9, 2011, using a pledge card for the next 12 months towards this campaign. The amount pledged can be decided individually or as a family and given monthly on the first Sunday of each month. As Miracle Life Family Church grows, we believe it is an honor to be part of this campaign at this juncture in its history. This campaign will help us place the emphasis on things that are eternal and be a vital source of strength and influence in our community and this nation. Our prayerful dedication and commitment to this eff ort can chart the course of this church for many years into the future. |
